Macky's paradise.

Lynne sent me pictures of Macky up at Lake Faucherie last summer. I want to share:

Isn't she just gorgeous? She looks like so regal and noble, no? I love the red in her fur. I've always been partial to redder Golden Retrievers.

Faucherie was Macky's favorite place. Lynne and Amos go up there every summer for a couple of weeks of relaxation and camping. It looks like paradise from the photos. Macky loved to float in the cool water just right at the lip of the shoreline. Lynne says it was Macky's "aqua massage". Can you even imagine the tranquility of simply floating in that gentle, liquid paradise? Wow. Macky experienced it for so many years. Lucky girl!

Oh, Macky Marshmallow. She was her mommy's "gourmet girl". Lynne says that when the rest of the gang went out for a hike last summer she stayed back with Macky to hang out with her in the water (middle picture). Lynne just had a feeling that Macky wouldn't be there with her this year. I can now relate to how much Lynne misses her Macky girl.

Lynne and Amos are going to Faucherie next week. I know it will be hard for them, but it is so beautiful to know that they gave their girl these peaceful, loving experiences. She'll be there with them in spirit.

(Hey Nick, have you found Macky yet to apologize? I hope you've already kissed and made up with her. She is the Giselle Bundchen of Golden Retrievers you know. Ha! Her mommy and daddy love her very much, so be nice! :-))

You know, Lynne and Amos were the only ones who called our boy "Nicholas Meatloaf" and "Nicholas Hamburger". I always thought that was hilarious. I wonder if Nick ever thought we were teasing him. Meatloaf? Did someone say hamburger? Where?!? Stop torturing me! I'm hungry!

Hey, if there are any art loving souls reading this, check out Amos' site! He is the coolest artist I have EVER known. One of his sculptures was picked by the city to display down by the Embarcadero. Beautiful piece, "Four Seasons". I love that he works in metal. I can listen to him for hours talk about his art, especially if there are margaritas and the blues to keep us company!

Have a great time, Lynne & Amos!!! I'll miss you guys. :-)
