Ok, I'm back...and I still hate the Packers

Achilles and Milo were polar opposites on their walk tonight. Usually, they're both raring to go, but tonight Achilles was draggin' his butt. I don't know what was up with him, but we didn't stay at the park very long. I think his tummy might be feeling punky. He threw up his after dinner snack this morning. 'Nuff said, right?

Meanwhile, Milo was full of vim and vigor, running the whole way to the park. Poor Achilles, he was so far behind us just dawdling along. When I called for Milo to leave the park he didn't want to go. He pretended there was something very interesting to sniff in the grass, so he kept stalling and sniffing, pretending he was very busy. Very, very busy. "No, you go ahead, Mommy. Once I've completed my investigation I'll meet up with you at home for dinner, 'kay?" That's what I imagine he was thinking. Poor guy, I could tell he wanted to stay, but his brother wanted to go. Milo's a great sport.

Speaking of sport, I still want Da Cheeseheads to melt into a vat of greasy goo. Came back from the walk and slowly forwarded through the game. (I love TiVo.)

Good news; we caused 2 fumbles.

Bad news; we didn't do shit with 'em.

Good news; we got a penalty called in our favor (99 lined up over the center during a field goal...don't ask me, I've never heard of that rule, but what the hell, I'll take it!) and we turned 3 into 7 points. Sweet.

Bad news; on the very next drive we let Effin' Farve go deep for another touchdown. Sigh.

We're at halftime now. Bears 7 - Packers 17. Sigh again.

On our walk, I was thinking of my relationship with Chicago sports. Discussed it with Achilles and Milo. They're not quite sure what to make of it either. They do agree with me that the Bears were dumb as a box of rocks for selling Thomas Jones, and the rumors that Donovan McNabb possibly coming here next year may not be the salve we need if our D doesn't take the same shape as last year.

They also agree that we should let Hester quarterback the team, play D, return kickoffs & punts, and then, just to mix it up, catch a few passes from himself. Ha ha ha! I crack myself up! He's the great hope right now and that is a saaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad situation.

Achilles, my little love, is in need of dinner. I'm in the bedroom watching my football game and he's right at my feet, as always.

Ed's watching his Yankees in the living room, and Milo, as usual, is receiving his due adoration while lying next to Ed.

Love my puppies!

Update: Bears 10 - Packers 17.

Oh, and the Yankees won.

Chow time...
