Tonight, we finally made it out to see "Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian" after having dinner at Chili's. The movie was really good, especially if you're a big C.S. Lewis fan like we are. Aslan has always made us think of Nick, our beloved "Lion King" with his wild, curly mane of Golden fur. I miss him so much. There was also a bear in the movie that was involved in the battle scenes. Every time we'd see him running around with his rounded rump Ed & I giggled because it looked like our Milo Bear running around up on the screen. Ha ha ha!
If we weren't so tired we would have walked to Chili's since it is only a mile away from the house, in the same plaza as the theater we frequent. We've done that in that past actually. Lots of fun, especially since we don't have to worry about one of us being a designated driver.
At Chili's I had one of my favorite dishes, the Guiltless Chicken Platter. Soooo good. I love char-grilled meat. Since we always carry the guilt of having left our boys behind at home alone, we make sure to return with a treat for them. I saved them half of my chicken, some broccoli and shredded carrots, and a bit of rice. It makes my heart smile to see them jumping around, so happy at the sight of our return, and then to see their little nostrils flaring as they pick up the scent coming from the take out container. Then the happy-happy, joy-joy dance begins!
Achilles and Milo know what's coming when they see me pull out their blue "treat" bowls. Oh boy! After rinsing away the salt and charred parts of the food, I warmed up the Chili's leftovers and let them have at it.
We can't forget about Captain Morgan because he'll chirp and squawk about the unfairness of it all lest we quickly provide him with a treat as well....after all, he was left to babysit the little four-legged brothers!!!

awww. they are SO cute. Sounds like a nice night. How many animals do you have all together?
Are you building an arc?
Those are gorgeous golden boys, an they look so sweet with their faces in their bowls. What a great life you are giving them.
I have missed your updates and your take on life. Glad to read that you got to go out for a date and enjoy some time with Belov-Ed. I like nothing better on a date than a long walk and a good meal...God bless you both, and your furry and feathered "kids."
How good of you to bring home treats. We loved Prince Caspian, I thought it was even better than the Lion, The Witch...Indy is next on our list to see this week
They have special treat bowls? The cats are starting to make noises about how THEY don't have special treat bowls - they have to eat everything off regular china. You may be getting borders soon:)
What good Golden Boys you have... both are distinguished members of the Clean Plate Club, I see!
KBL, you must come visit my blog... we have found our new puppy! I have posted pictures - the litter is 3 weeks old, and so adorable! I have 3 more weeks to convince Hubster that we really NEED 2 puppies, instead of one. (I'm thinking a Yellow AND the Chocolate one we initially signed up for...).
Then, we'll have the "full rainbow" of Labs at our house. Just imagine the destruction that 3 Labs can level!! ;-)
The kids are excited, but Mommy is SUPER-excited!! :-)
Suz, too funny! I WISH I had an ark full of animals! I have 2 Furboys, 1 Feather-boy, and 1 Man-boy....so that would make FOUR altogether. :-) Used to have another bird, Maximus Maximillian, but he's living with my cousin now. He got too big for my little place at the time.
Karen, I've missed posting updates. It's been hectic, hectic, hectic. But, in due time, it will settle down and I'll be back to spending endless hours crafting blogs. I've got like 5 of them "in the works" right now!
Mary Beth, loved Prince Caspian, but I'm partial to Lion. Got to see much more of Aslan a.k.a. Nick.
Ok, I just checked out Happy Wife's puppy gang. Wowza!!! That's going to be one Happy Life once the house is full!!! Soooo cute!!!
Dag nab it! My lap top is on it's last leg and can't play the video. The pics are Sooooo precious though. LOVE the boys and the Cap'n.
