Amanda, Helen, and Mary Beth have a wonderful sisterhood. I love reading their blogs. Their mom found Dudley in the garden over Memorial Day weekend, possible abandoned by its own mother because it may have been a "dud" (hence the name). He only weighed 6 ounces!!! Since Dudley was less than 10 days old, according to the vet, the chance of him surviving over the next 48 hours were slim. Kittens can't be away from their mommies at such a young age.
Well, Dudley is now 18 days old thanks to the Sisterhood. Helen feeds him every few hours with a syringe and, ahem, helps him "go". ;-) The "Miracle Porker" weighed in at a whopping 9.5 ounces today and a little tooth is growing in!!! Sister Nurse Amanda makes sure all proper syringes and feeding devices are provided, and Mary Beth's job is to make sure Huge Eug doesn't play basketball with the Dud-meister.
Dudley's pictures are absolutely precious. Makes my heart melt every time. What a lucky guy to have fallen into the loving hands of this family. Ya think!? Wow. Some little kitty angel was watching out for this guy, huh? Make sure you scroll back to his first pictures from last week. If you don't literally say "awwww" then I'll send ya a dollar! CUTENESS!!!

Oh my, Dudley is famous! We'll have to get him little baby sunglasses.
Note to Achilles & Milo - NO MID-DAY SNACKS here! He wouldn't fill one hollow tooth so it's not even worth it.
