I am so tired this morning. Yesterday was a day and a half.
Woke up at 4:45 to go to the gym and teach my spin class. Then came home to help take care of furbabies and get ready for work.
At 10:57 a.m. EST yesterday, M's second daughter was born. So, I'm now an auntie to niece #2, Laila. It was pretty emotional for me that M still won't let go of her grudge.
Worked all day like crazy. Boss is coming back to the office from trial today, so lots of loose ends to tie up.
Mom arrived home from Kabul last night. I picked her and my uncle up from the airport. She completely ignored my engagement ring. That hurt my feelings.
Mom smelled like Afghanistan. I was surprised that I remembered that scent from my childhood. There was dust in her suitcase and I gathered some of it in a bag. Dust from the land where I was born.
Drove Mom and Uncle up to the house and helped out until 11, then drove back to Ed's. Didn't get to bed until after midnight, completely EXHAUSTED.
So much more I want to say, but I have to get ready for work. Talk to ya later...

Congrats, Auntie! How in the hell do you find the strength to teach a spin class BEFORE you go to work?! You are my idol! No wonder you're such a knockout!
Girl! When do you sleep?? I would be dead. I'm glad to hear that your mom is home safe. I'm sorry to hear that she ignored your beautiful ring, but I hope that you will just focus on what it represents to you and no matter what people say (good or bad) its a symbol of your love with Ed and that's a very personal thing that no one else has any influence over.
More on the wedding note, my parents and I are soooooooooo excited. We have booked our hotel (The Hacienda in Old Town) already. I was worried because its prime time season with all the zoners invading SD.
I can't wait to see you, Ed, the furbabies, and of course the RING OF POWER. The time will be here before you know it?! :) I'm really looking forward to spending some time with you and just hanging out. I miss my Najia!!!
You are officially the busiest person I know! Can you spare some of that energy??? You should take lots of vitamin C so you don't get sick with all the stuff you have going on right now.
You gals are so awesome. I love you all!!! Thanks for the encouraging words and advice. Feels great to know you're out there when our mothers are being STANKY!
