Long sleeved shirt: $2.99 at Old Navy on clearance.
A couple of beers while deciding on lunch: $7.
Spicy grilled shrimp and scallops skewers: $5.50.
Cheap sunglasses from the little Asian market on Pacific Beach: $5.00. Then running into Macho the 9 week old Cocker puppy after purchase of said sunglasses: $$$friendly conversation with a Texas couple.
Wave-watching at the beach looking for dolphins: $$$strolling a ways along the boardwalk.
People watching: $$$a lazy saunter over to Nick's at the Beach restaurant.
Surviving another rough winter in California with my beloved: priceless.

You are going to piss off a LOT of midwesterners/east coasters with this post!
No, no, no!!! Oh no! That's not what I intended at all. My point is that we're lucky and blessed to even have the opportunity to experience what we have here!
To all of my Blogistan brothers and sisters, please don't be pissed off. You're welcome to visit us anytime! We'd love for you to experience winter in Cali as well. Better yet, just move on down here! :-)
Laura, I'll chat with ya layta about gettin' together, ok?
Honey, it's been in the 60s here in Chicago for a few days now, so you guys have nothin' on ChiTown right now!! Quite frankly, I prefer my weather to be below 70 all year :)
By the way, were you trying to stuff that cocker spaniel puppy in your purse before Ed caught you on film? ;-)
