Gone a Visitin'

I'm so glad it's Friday. I'm so very glad. It's been kind of a busy (to say the least) couple of days. Work has been outstandingly busy. We've got a few new cases that are incredibly complex. Filed one complaint and we're getting ready to file another one before Thanksgiving. Let the good times roll!!!

Got to hang out with Jan on Wednesday after work. Some wine, some good conversation, a beautiful house. Sometimes I crave the company of a fellow female, someone fun who can still hold an intelligent conversation. We talked a lot about family. I got a lot off my chest about M and Laila's birth. It felt good to talk and really know that not only is the other person hearing me, she also understands where I'm coming from.

Had a great spin class yesterday morning. I mean a GREAT spin class. Lately I've been feeling a lot more jazzed and pumped. It's been wonderful. What's even more wonderful is that my students have picked up on it. Feels nice.

Work yesterday was insane. Again. But, I was looking forward to yet another night of hangin' with my girls. Went over to Roselle's place after work. Roselle completely shattered her ankle and has stay off her left leg for a few weeks. If you knew Roselle you'd know that she's feeling like a caged tiger these days. She's the go-gettin', full of energy mom of three great kids; Elijah, Milo and Willa (who's about to turn 7 months old). Of course, I love especially love Milo since I've got a boy of my own named Milo.:-)

Anyway, Mars has been helping Roselle out at home while she's immobile. She spends about 3 days a week there watching the kids, cooking, cleaning, and all kinds of other wonderful stuff.
So, by the time I arrived with goodies from Trader Joe's, Mars was ready for some libations. We had some sparkling pomegranate juice which were doctored up for fun.

You know who I loved seeing the most? Why, it was Mr. Rupert, of course!!! Who is Mr. Rupert you ask? Oh, he's only the cutest little old man rescue from the pound you've ever seen. Roselle and her husband adopted him from the pound shortly before they married. It is believed that Mr. Rupert is somewhere between 15 and 17 years old. He's got a limp and arthritis, but otherwise is a gem of puppy. I "passed" on some of Nick's old meds for Mr. Rupert in case he ever needs it for pain. I didn't care how dog hair covered my black clothes were going to get, I needed to love all over Mr. Rupert as soon as I saw him.

Here I am grudgingly accepting some love from Mr. Rupert.

Handsome elderly gentleman, isn't he? Oooh, old Mr. Rupert.

Trying to get Roselle to let me take her pic wasn't easy! She hadn't showered in a week and has been living in the same pjs for 2 weeks. (Just kidding Roselle! :-) She's got to keep her poor wittle leg in this contraption for weeks. Frickin' sucks man!

Mars after hittin' the sauce. :-) Tee hee. She's a beauty, isn't she? Greatest laugh you've ever heard.

I'm watching "I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry" while typing. Not the greatest flick, but Jessica Biel has the body I want!!!
