Gosh, it feels so effing great to put fingers to keyboard and draft a post that I'll actually publish! I have felt as if I've been in the midst of a whirling, swirling, crazed vortex of non-stop activity.
There is nothing like deciding to 1) remodel your home, 2) plan an engagement/wedding party, 3) plan a wedding in Italy, 4) a honeymoon in Spain, 5) return more to more remodeling, 6) work responsiblities, 7) neverending home tasks, 8) family drama, and 9) money wrangling to put a cramp in my blogging abilities!!!
And that's just counting the stuff I can remember off the top of my head. It has been an incredible two months since we've been back, for the first time on U.S. soil, as a married couple. I want to blog and post so much about the crazy beautiful fun and frantic madness of our summer. I will over the next couple of weeks.
But first, I want to apologize to my fellow Blogistani citizens for having dropped off the face of Blogearth. I HAVE MISSED YOU ALL. I can't believe how much I've missed all of you and your blogs. In the midst of this vortex, something had to give, and unfortunately, it had to be blogging. Sometimes it takes significant time to publish a post, and time has been very, very precious these past few weeks.
I've changed the look of my blog and the title to reach me. For many reasons, I felt this was a great time for me to start over. After all, I've now started a new chapter in my life as a married woman! I'm starting to get used to saying that now!
I love the color red. Always have. So, my blog is red. It is also the color of love. Luuuuuurve!!! Like the love for my Belov-Ed companion for life. Like the love for my precious, precious sweet golden babies. Like the love for my tremendous friends.
L-O-V-E!!!
I have been stressed and it was showing since we got back from our wedding and honeymoon. With so much going on, I felt pulled in a million different directions, to the point that I very often felt transparent. As we humans tend to do, we take it out on the ones we love. I released much of my fatigue with work, the remodel, and our maniacal family issues, on my Belov-Ed. At times I didn't recognize the cranky and wild-eyed bitch staring back at me in the mirror!
But, in the past week or so, life has slowly been returning to normal. The remodel is done in large part. We will have some "touch-up" work and landscaping that needs to be done, but nothing that requires scheduled energy. Work has been slowing down some as well. Our office was an insane asylum for a few weeks. Our families have started to fade in their attacks a bit.
We got off the airplane from Spain on a Saturday night. We slept into the next morning, and then that very first afternoon back from our honeymoon we picked up our paintbrushes and continued from where we left off. Since then it has been NON-FUCKING-STOP. Seriously.
Thank God things have begun to return to normal!!! We actually moved into our new master bedroom 2 nights ago. It felt so freaking good to sleep in a room NOT piled up high with boxes and pets.
So, here are a couple of more photos. I'm going to check and see what Laura has been up to since her move to one of my favorite cities...Seattle!!! Jet Blue has a sale on tickets right now from San Diego to Seattle....$99 one way!!! I'm SOOOO there Laura!
Love to you all in Blogistan!

Oh boy, I get to be the FIRST one to comment on your new blog! First of all, WELCOME BACK! I sure did miss your wit, humor, kindness and your stories. I am glad that you put first things first, and now that things have calmed down a bit, you can write until your heart's content.
Your photos are gorgeous! What a glorious gown, groom and church! Please tell about Italy and Spain, family and furbabies.
Thank you for remembering Katie (and us) on August 16th. I loved reading about your moments of prayer, & feel sure that Katie would love you. I know that she would LOVE to hug your heavenly furbaby for you. She loves dogs!
I would love to see you when you come to visit Laura. When you know the dates, just let me know. Laura has my phone #s, too.
CONGRATULATIONS to you and Belov-Ed on your marriage. It just gets better from here. Love, KBG
YOU'RE BACK!!!!! Girl, you have no idea how much I've missed you!! Did you get my message at work? I couldn't find you home number, so I figured that was the next best thing. I can NOT wait to hear about EVERYTHING! Hey, if you're planning to go see Laura in the very near future, let me know. I have a very long weekend in the beginning of Nov. for Veterans' Day. Maybe we can coordinate something... Let me know! Welcome back, my long lost (married!!) friend! Hugs and kisses to the whole crew!

Hooray! One of my FAVE bloggers is back! (You've made my day!)
Ah..... I feel SO refreshed.... I have taken a drink from the well of the great KBL. (And hey - you quoted one of my favorites - Kahlil Gibran - up top on your blog. Nice touch.) :-)
Diva sends sloppy slobbery kisses to you. She is now almost 6 months and pure Chocolate Lab muscle. She is living up to her name - thinks she is "all that AND a bag of chips". :-)
I hope YOUR menagerie of animals are all doing well.
And REALLY, KBL, those photos are amazing. You look stunning. Radiant. (Seriously.)
One last thing.... go to YouTube and type in the search field: "Diva and the Spicy Food". That video is about 2 months old but YES that's "our" Diva. (And please don't turn me into PETA... I promise she loves spicy food....!!) :-)
It's about damn time. J/K. Totally feel ya with the stress! I love the dress as well, and was disappointed that your first update didn't include a word about your pooches. :)
We have missed you too! Your pictures are breathtaking, you look absolutely beautiful! Congratulations!!!!
