Our Celebrity Rock Star - Famos Amos

In a world gone mad, there is ART and MUSIC. The two passions that bind all humans together, and have done so since the dawn of mankind.

We have our very own Celebrity Rock Star Artist! Mr. Famos Amos himself. :-) I like to call him that because that's what he is to me.

A cold, lifeless piece of metal takes on a vibrancy and energy in Amos' hands. He molds, caresses, smoothes, curves, angles, connects, suspends, and invigorates simple metal. It takes hours and hours and weeks of sweat and love. A creative passion has become unique works of kinetic art that the world is interested in possessing. Wow. What an amazing validation of a man's passion, his creativity, and his vision. Way too cool to even wrap my head around.

I have always been, and will always be, enraptured (and slightly envious) of my creative friends, whether that creativity and vision lies in art or music.

Here's the Dragon at home on the beach in Encinitas, a tiny ocean town just north of San Diego. Luck homeowners. Hell, lucky Dragon! He gets front row seating to that magnificent Pacific Sunset every night!
This Sunday, Amos' "Calderberry Tree" will be one of the works of magnificent art that will be honored at the Arts for Healing program at the world renowned Scripps Hospital. Click on the image below and you'll see his piece first on the top left.

Is it just me, or is this just way too fucking cool?! How many of US have wanted to see our passions validated and admired in this manner? I know I have. I've been writing a book for years now. I never seem to get around to finishing it though. I always wonder if anyone would have any interest in it whatsoever, you know?

I want to say CONGRATULATIONS to my very own Rock Star Resident Celebrity of the Century. Go Amos! You rock!
