Iced Coffee

This morning, after completing the musical cars procedure and depositing Da G-Unit at Lynne’s house, I ran home and prepared for work. Spent the morning out of the office with clients, so I never had a chance to eat breakfast, which is one meal that I try very hard not to skip because I get VERY cranky when I’m hungry.

As I was driving to my office after client meetings, I saw a McDonald’s up ahead. I’ve seen commercials about their new iced coffee selection, so I decided to give it a try. I bravely pulled into the drive-thru, ordered a vanilla iced coffee, and kept on driving on a beautiful, sunny San Diego morning.

I’m sure you’re wondering why it was “brave” of me to pull in and order a McDonald’s iced coffee. Well, there have been horror stories posted about the “intestinal” dangers of McDonald’s Ice Coffee. Laura, my dear tiny friend, has actually had similar episodes with the competition’s beverages too! You can also read about my poor tiny friend’s trials and tribulations with Nescafe, another competitor, here.

Oh, wait a minute! Duh!!! What was I thinking? No need for me to be worried. I completely forgot, I’m Afghan and therefore need not be afraid of intestinal “issues”. :-) But, what I will say is that I wasn't very impressed with the taste of the fast-food giant's iced coffee...too sweet and kind of watery. I was in need of CAFFEINE and that just did not do it for me.

It’s past 3 pm, more than four hours since I had my delicious beverage, and all’s well. Maybe it is because I also enjoyed a lunch of hummus, pita, baby carrots, and yogurt with my iced coffee?....Naaah. Just an Afghani thang, ya wouldn’t understand.

(XOXOXO tiny friend!)

You have no idea how happy I am to read that you're feeling fine. As soon as you mentioned Micky D's iced coffee, I immediately thought, "Here we go again, someone else's ca ca story!"
