It has been quite some time since I’ve visited here, and I miss it. I just saw that my last post was on April 20th. Holy Shizzle.
It’s funny how I get busy, and busy, and busy, I run out of time to indulge myself with blogging, and then when I do find slivers of time here and there, I find it better for myself not to do anything at all.
Work and family life has kept my daily hours filled, so much so that we’ve had to cancel two pre-planned vacations this year. We were planning our usual retreat to Newport, Rhode Island, but it’ll have to wait for next year. Maybe. We also had to cancel our September trip to Annapolis for Ed’s 20th reunion at the Naval Academy. I was really looking forward to that. ((((sigh))))
Throughout it all, I have to remember to remind myself that we’re blessed to have work, income, and stability. It’s something not afforded to more and more Americans these days.
I was reminded this week how much blogging means to me, and how much I love my peeps in Blogistan. Many of you have become dear, dear friends, even if I’ve never personally laid eyes on you. I’m setting aside some time to begin blogging again over Labor Day weekend, and look forward to reading up with Blogistan to catch up with my peeps. I miss you all.
In the meantime, I just wanted to pop into my little corner of the Internet and say hi.
