As I sat at my desk today, I heard someone walk into our office. Looked up and thought,
"Oooh, that guy's kind of cute."
Squinted and realized it was my Edward. Tee hee. :-)
(I need to update my eyeglasses' prescription.)
He doesn't work downtown, but every once in a while he does come down my way, and when he does, he always stops by to say hello and to give me a kiss. Sometimes, if he has time, he'll take me out to lunch.
Today has been warm, sunny, breezy, and I hated being cooped up in my office. So, we went out for a stroll, held hands, and talked. About the nutjobs in our families, how our friends can be kooky at times, our beautiful furbabies, and what we wanted to do after work.
I drove him back to where his car was parked. As I watched his retreating figure, I wanted to jump out of the car, run over, and give him just one more kiss and a solid smack on the butt. But, alas, I was blocking traffic.
Then I drove to the library to return "Middlesex" by Jeffrey Eugenides (great novel by the way) and picked up "Kafka on the Shore" by Haruki Murakami.
Returned to the office...now I have one more hour to go, and I'm sitting here thinking about how he completely made my day one million percent better by his simple mid-afternoon appearance.
The little things in life...they really are priceless. I can't wait to see him after work. Maybe I'll give him a kiss and a double smack on the butt. :-)

Isn't love grand? You are both blessed, and you deserve it! God bless both of you and your furbabies.
This made me smile :) Thanks!
I love those type of days. you and I must have been on the same wavelength....
I am procrastinating from doing work on the taxes by catching up on all my blog reading. You are so lucky to have found each other. I am so glad Milo is doing so well.
Awwwww.... that is SO sweet! I remember being newlyweds.... absolutely blissful. We couldn't keep our hands off each other. We lived in a teeny little apartment. Just us and our 2 cats (Jasmine and Mortimer). We didn't get Chloe until we bought our first house. Really fun memories. As you guys get older, you'll look back on this first year with SUCH fondness. :)
How is the Milo Man doing?
aww so sweet, what a great day!! :)
How's Milo?
Did you see the oh-so-adorable STUMP last night? Unfortunately I was at a meeting, so I missed seeing the entire Westminster, but I did see Mr. Handsome (Stump) on the morning shows this morming.
I'm now trying to talk Hubster in to getting a Sussex Spaniel. (So far, not surprisingly, the answer is a FIRM "no".) :-)
Diva and Ruby send their love (and a high-paw 5) to Milo and Achilles!
