COME ON! LET'S GO!!!! Awwww Lawrdy, I'm going to lose it!
I've drawn blood twice from my lip. I hope we don't have vampires in the attic. We're at halftime now.
It's been a nice Saturday. My spin class was full today, it was humid and warm in the class, and I taught a pretty solid hill/mountain class. My legs felt like cooked noodles by the end of the hour. It felt sooooo good. I love that feeling. ;-)
After class I met up with Adriana and we had coffee and a banana at Starbucks. Like Busy Bee Suz, I'm a hyper, out of control, recyclist. At work I even keep a cardboard box under my desk in which I keep all plastic, paper, metal, and glass to bring home at the end of the week for the recycling bin.
So, it is always surprising to me that Starbucks does NOT have a recycle trash can in its stores. For all the socially conscious and environmentally active artists that Starbucks features in its retail CD collection, I still have to throw my coffee cup in the regular trash. It fucking pisses me off. It's such a hypocrisy, especially when the coffee cups have the recycle logo on them. Yah, thanks, but how about you give us a recycle bin to put in our $2 cup of coffee. Needless to say, as much as I like Starbucks, I don't often go.
Tonight I'm craving something sinfully carb-loaded and dense, like ravioli. My cravings are out of control. I'll probably have something lighter though, but I reeeeeeeeeeeeeallly want CARBS. We'll see.
We took the Golden Furbabies to Noah's Ark for their baths. I tried to put a towel burqa on Milo, but he protested. LOUDLY.
Tomorrow morning we'll try and make it to Grape Street Dog Park here in our very own gorgeous Balboa Park. We were invited by Sue over at Random Ramblings, who has a monthly Golden Retriever Meet-Up here in San Diego. You should go over and say hello to her Jack, Jill, and Kona. I can't wait to meet them!
I brought some work home with me, so after the Golden meet-up, I'll get some of that done, and then it's off to the Q Fashion Show. It is my friend Abdul Hamidi's premier of his clothing line "Q". He made my wedding dress. I have very solid sense that Abdul is going to make it BIG in the fashion world. I hope he doesn't forget us little folk. :-)
If you happened to watch Dateline NBC last night, then you saw me on TV. Can't say much more about it, but it was kind of cool seeing myself on TV. That sounds so stuck-up, doesn't it? I don't care.
It's Boston 76, Chicago 64 right now. Sheesh. I won't have a lower lip left at the end of this game!!! Joakim Noah reminds me of Ichabod Crane. He's hysterical.
Now I want a margarita. Frozen yogurt. Ravioli. Margarita. That's what I call a Saturday night. Cheers!

Man, I sooo want to take a spin class with you. The one I've been to a few times up here is... boring, and not that challenging.
I agree with you about Starbucks... they do try to put on the environmentally-friendly front, but they are huge offenders when it comes to waste. Keep doing YOUR part, because it's awesome! :)
Margaritas and ravioli sounds like a pretty good Saturday night! :) Better than midterms prep.
DANG. I ALWAYS watch Dateline, but I didn't watch last night. It does sound neat to see yourself on TV!
You need some gum. Or a slim jim to chew on. Save YOUR lips woman. :)
Starbucks does not recycle. I knew I did not like that place. Damn. How hard is it??? What is the dealio???? I think I may have to write a letter. Again. My hands hurt from all the letter writing goinf on.
Dateline????
What???? I need to watch it. I was at Lo's last softball game of the season...can I see it online?
Email me. OR else...I will buy plastic bottles AND throw them away.
Heck, you know I can't do that...but I would love to see the show. I do love Dateline...wait was it with Chris Hansen? Now I am kinda scared. :0
Love the pups in their burqa's. Remember my girls wearing them for thankgiving? almost as cute as your babies...almost.
Take care,
SUZ
I loved this post - your pictures are adorable, as always!
I really hope you'll get a chance to stop by tomorrow. I don't have an exact address, but it's at the corner of Grape and Granada, the zip is 92102. You can't miss the park, it kind of backs up to the Balboa Park driving range.
I'll keep my eyes open for you. You won't be able to miss our gaggle of Goldens.
PS- sorry about your Bulls...
Love your golden boys - they are so sweet.
Will there be a clip of you on YouTube or on the NBC site? I want to see!
So sorry about your disappointment on the BBall Court. I hope your lips will recover! OK, not a WORD about the Kentucky Derby with all of sports chat? What's up?
Your spin class sounds as if it would kick my butt. I am not good with the cycling motion (hurts my knees). You are amazingly multifaceted.
Have you ever started a petition to SBUX? They might listen if you get enough signatures. How much could it cost them to add a bin to each store, vs. how much they would save in goodwill, as wll as PAPER/TREES?
I know what you mean about craving carbs. Enough said! XO
Dateline? What? You need to give me a heads up, woman! I would have actually turned it on for you and WATCHED! Dang girl. Maybe I can find it online.
I love the pictures... esp the burqua pictures, and the howls of protest.
We got Diva (and Ruby) each a KONG toy and Diva loves it. She flings it into the air with GIDDY abandon.... I think it may end the "weapon of mass destruction" that she is becoming.... :)
Ok, I'm going to look for the Dateline clip now.....
Now I am frustrated. Apparently I can't watch the whole episode of Friday night's Dateline online yet.... just little clips. I've watched all the clips that are available, and I didn't see you.
:( Darn.
Now I am sad. So terribly, terribly sad. Diva and Ruby are sad too. Terrible sadness has descended upon the land .... there is gnashing of teeth, and great wails of agony. (Have I mentioned that I have a melodramatic streak??)
(I'm assuming this was regarding the surfer story....)
btw. I do have an email address, you know. You can always EMAIL me when you're going to be on TV. Just a little HINT. :)
It's on my profile.
OK, gotta run now.
Laundry calls (such a glamorous life....)
Give those Fluffy Golden Boys big hugs!
