End of the rains?
This was sunset this evening. The western sky is behind our house. We're about 5 miles from the ocean, so our sunsets are magnificent because of the reflections off the water.
The horizon brings clearing. Does this mean that we'll be back to being regular old sunny San Diego again? There are some who are praying for its return for many different reasons, but I kind of enjoyed the rainy, overcast weekend.
there's a HUGE black cloud hanging over me cuz I just read Live Happy's post today saying she won't be posting anymore. or at least not as much. what are we to do? :(
BTW, we had some major stormy weather tonight. it wasn't supposed to move from you guys to us that quickly. but, it was also 64 today, so i'll take it!
OK totally unrelated to your sky pic (which is beautiful by the way) but I just tried the wine you brought over from a few weeks ago (I was saving for a special occasion and then figured tonight I'm making salmon so that qualifies) and OH MY BLOODY GOODNESS this wine is DIVINE!! Seriously, this is my new favorite. I absolutely LOVE it. Where did you get it? Not only is it delicious but I just finished one small glass and I'm totally buzzing. Is there a higher alcohol content to this wine? SOOOO Good. It's Sophia Rose 2006 by Francis Coppola for those of you who may read these comments. I love trying new wines and usually I'm just somewhat pleased but this wine is incredible. And seriously, How am I buzzed from just one glass? Could be that I didn't eat lunch??? Maybe. But damn! It's good stuff!
LOL! I'm not sure about the alchohol content, but I got at Costco believe it or not. Their wine selection is beyond impressive and I'm stunned every time I'm there.
I used to live in Barcelona, Spain and there was a Miles Flores wine that I LOVED to have anytime I went out with friends. Well, I actually saw it at Costco and nearly fainted with glee. I'd never seen it in the states before!
Oh, and don't be shy about getting some of their Kirkland brand of wine. They are outstanding. Truly, they are. They use private vineyards but have paid to have the Kirkland name on the bottle. Their Pinot Grigio is wonderful.
I'm glad you enjoyed it! :-) Did Wrigs get any? Ha ha ha!
